Morrow Programs
Morrow Church offers a variety of programs designed to nurture you in your unique spiritual journey. These are opportunities in music, for service, education, and spiritual growth.
Our Outreach programs include food collection drives for the needy, tutoring programs for children from Newark schools, Habitat for Humanity projects in Newark and surrounding areas, and support for our West African missionary programs in Sierra Leone and Ghana.
The Music Ministry is blessed with many fine performing groups and choirs, from handbells, vocals, and our Intergenerational Orchestra. We also have some independent groups - trios, quartets, jazz and pop bands, that have bloomed from our rich musical community. Many of our choir members start as early as the age of four. There is room for every singer and ringer.
We have several active Youth programs which provide opportunities for spiritual growth, education and service. In addition, we sponsor two mission trips during the year for youth and young adults.
United Methodist Women is a vital part of the Morrow community and members enjoy monthly meetings, retreats, and sponsoring of coffee hours and special events, most important being our annual fundraising Turnover Sale, which takes place in July, transforming two floors into a department store.
Men's Activities abound at Morrow. From construction to cooking to music, community outreach to committee leadership, Morrow provides something for every man. Musical? Like wielding a hammer in a place near and far? Prefer event planning or church governance? We have something for you, whatever your flavor.
