Adult Christian Study
We offer several options for adult study during the regular church season, from September through June. We have both daytime and evening classes. Sunday
Morning Discussion (9:30 -10:15 AM weekly; in Fellowship Hall)
A lively discussion group on a range of topics. The class often uses a video curriculumn withe newer theologicaal voices to begin the discussion. During Advent we are using the hymn O Little Town of Bethlehem as a guide through the Christmas Story.
Monday
Ripped From the Headlines (7:30 - 9 PM weekly; check with facilitator Chip M for offsite location).
Bring a story from the news of the week that caused you to pause and we'll discuss where and how the events of our lives and teh world this week intersect and affect our understanding of scripture. This class runs the entire year, yet you can join anytime and drop in anytime.
Thursday
Women's Morning Bible Study (9:30 - 10:30 AM weekly; room 116)
Beginning December 3rd, a six week study called A Mile in Her Shoes. We examine the lives of six remarkable women whose stories are told in the Old Testatment. Through reading and discussion, this video based study will inspire and encourage us in our own faith journeys.
Friday
Caring & Sharing (9:00 AM first and third Fridays, Second Mile room)
A group of parents of young children meet and discuss child-raising and faith and support each other.
